The Heart of the Matter

It seems like a lifetime ago that I loved without complication.  Maybe it was combination of 
both the best and the worst of me that has kept me from the peace and harmony I crave.  
    I take responsibility for it because it is my life.
Know that at this moment, you are the reason, you are all my reasons.  I march towards a life in which the best of times are right now, with you.  The corridor seems long and dark and I can't explain why I endure, except that when I look into your eyes, I see part of which is me and all of which is us.
